I’ve been reading a lot lately about Web Fonts (@font-face) and how it’s been included in CSS3. Now Safari is currently the only non-beta version browser to fully support this functionality. There’s been much written about the impact this will have on web design, but I haven’t seen any examples of it in use or really any experimentation with this functionality. Late last week I decided to play around with Web Fonts.

Today I was reading this article over at the webdesigner depot called 10 Best CSS Practices to Improve Your Code. The writer does a really good job of listing the important tips for writing good clean CSS code.
Here’s the list in short:
- Stay Organized
- Title, Date and Sign
- Keep a Template Library
- Use Useful Naming Conventions
- Use Hyphens Instead of Underscores
- Don’t Repeat Yourself
- Optimize for Lightweight Style Sheets
- Write Your Base for Gecko, Then Tweak for Webkit and IE
- Validate
- Keep a tidy house
That at the rate technology is progressing today’s students are preparing for jobs that have not been created yet.
I came across this video on twitter today. I think it does a great job at putting things in to perspective in relation to the speed at which the times are changing around us. The video is focused around technology and how advancements in information technology is changing the world.
Watching it inspired me. There are tons of great quotes in this video.
Today I launched the latest site I’ve been working on Walnut Street Baptist Church Ministries – http://wsbcm.org. This site consists of two WordPress blogs, one for the Church itself and one for the School that is associated with the Church.
