Web Designer
Hey, I’m Chris Fasnacht, and this is my design portfolio site. As you will be able to see most of my design work is executed on the Internet as a web site or a video posted to the web. My graphic design ability is evident in all that I do. I’m proficient with HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and Illustrator. In addition to web design I can produce quality print work as well as run a video camera, edit and effectively determine the best use of video for it’s purpose. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience in multimedia and web design. I can manage & work with many team members on multiple projects at the same time.
I like to think of myself as a ‘Code Hacker’, someone who can simply get the web design job done. I’m not a computer science programmer (although I can write PHP or ASP). I will find a way to get the programming task completed. Give me a web application and I can make it look the way we want it to.
I’ve been doing design work professionally for over 15 years, and it’s still something I love to do.

Construction Specialties Inc. (C/S), Muncy, PA 2013 – Present
Graphics and Web Development
- My role at C/S is to design and develop new sites as well as maintain existing corporate websites. Most web development was done using Drupal and WordPress content management systems.
- I’ve designed and developed the user experience on Android and iOS app development.
- I am the primary print designer for flyers, brochures, tradeshows, etc.
- I have been the project lead and manager for several development initiatives.
Broco Supply, Mechanicsburg, PA 2011 – 2013
Design and Marketing
- Primarily design and front-end code of all the companies websites, which include: a wholesale/surplus liquidation company (brocosupply.com), an outlet e-commerce site which sells a lot of the wholesale products (bargaintory.com), a musical arts center website (p5mac.com), a few yet to be launched sites, and multiple internal web applications.
- Social media plays a role in the marketing of each of the businesses that are a part of Broco Supply. Every company has a Facebook page which I admin and have designed & coded many custom pages for. We also send out e-newsletters for all the companies as well. All that I design and code by hand.
- I created all the marketing and printed materials for each of the companies as well. We’ve done postcard size direct mail pieces, tri-fold brochures, vinyl banners, signage, and business cards.
Synapse Marketing Solutions, Lancaster, PA 2010 – 2011
Director of Interactive Services
- Worked closely with medium to large businesses to develop and design new web sites by creating results driven solutions that achieve their goals.
- Maintained existing client sites, created innovative enhancements based off of studying analytics, and added new functionality to older sites.
- Assembled a team of creative professionals to accomplish all the tasks of an interactive agency
- Created e-mail campaigns, social media campaigns, e-commerce solutions, e-ticketing service, and online document center
D&E Communications: 2000 – 2010
While at D&E I acted as Web Designer, Print Designer and Multimedia Design doing work on flash and video projects.
Corporate Web Designer 08/2000 – 10/2007
My first seven years for the company I designed, worked on and maintained the corporate web sites: D&E Communications, D&E Jazzd, Inside D&E (the corporate Intranet) and several other sites that have come and gone throughout the years.
Corporate Print Designer 01/2003 – 01/2005
In addition to my web site duties I assisted in various graphic and print design projects for the company.
Jazzd Interactive Web Designer 10/2007 – 01/2010
During the fall of 2007 I transitioned into a new position to develop and run the ISPs user portal as a full time job. Since then I have been working on and dealing with the maintenance of a user portal that has averages 1.2 million pageviews a month.

Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts (Art Institute of PA): 2000
I Graduated with an Associate Degree in Specialized Technology, Majoring in Multimedia Design. I completed my courses with a GPA of 3.61 and graduated with honors.
