Coy<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\">Vimeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/boingboing.net\">BoingBoing.net<\/a> article I found this at said &#8220;His ideas reminding me of cartoonist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walrusmagazine.com\/articles\/2008.09--the-quiet-art-of-cartooning-seth-comic-book-cartoons\/\">Seth&#8217;s short essay<\/a> for The Walrus called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.walrusmagazine.com\/articles\/2008.09--the-quiet-art-of-cartooning-seth-comic-book-cartoons\/\">The Quiet Art of Cartooning.<\/a>&#8221; Both Seth and Glaser are in agreement that your mind opens up on interesting ways while you draw. Teachers who prevent students from drawing and doodling while being taught a lesson are hindering their learning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Seth says in his blog post:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I often find that when I\u2019m drawing, only half my mind is on the work \u2014 watching proportions, balancing compositions, eliminating unnecessary details.<\/p>\n<p>The other half is free to wander. Usually, it\u2019s off in a reverie, visiting the past, picking over old hurts, or recalling that sense of being somewhere specific \u2014 at a lake during childhood, or in a nightclub years ago.
